To qualify for enrollment in our BSc (Hons) Health and Care Management course, we require the following:
- Two subjects at GCE A level or an equivalent qualification, along with passes at grade C or above in three subjects at GCSE level or an equivalent.
If you do not currently possess the qualifications mentioned above, we also provide an alternative option for this course, which includes an additional foundation year. This is specifically designed for students who require extra support at the commencement of their degree program.
Language Proficiency Requirement:
A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or its equivalent, with no score less than 5.5 in any individual element, is mandatory for admission. Alternatively, applicants can submit evidence demonstrating prior English language studies, such as a letter confirming that the medium of instruction was in English, which will be accepted as an alternative to the specified language proficiency test.
Masters Degree
Year 1: Level 4
This curriculum covers fundamental skills essential for Health & Care Management at Level 4. The course encompasses topics such as “Meeting the Needs of Service Users,” “Planetary Health,” “Health Promotion,” “Supporting Dignity and Respect Through Ethical Principles and Theories,” and “Communication & Interprofessional Collaboration.”
These components are designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in health and care management, ensuring students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge at the introductory level.
Year 2: Level 5
This course covers a diverse range of subjects essential for effective leadership in Health & Care Management.
The Topics of Level 5 include “Leadership Theory & Concepts,” providing insights into leadership principles specific to the healthcare sector. “Fundamentals of Health & Care Finance” equips students with essential financial knowledge in the context of health and care services. “Public Health” explores the broader community health perspective, while “Resource Planning in Multidisciplinary Working” addresses the strategic allocation of resources in a collaborative healthcare setting. “Digital Health Leadership” delves into the leadership aspects of digital healthcare, and “Evidence-Based Practice” focuses on applying research evidence to enhance decision-making in healthcare management.

Year 3: Level 6
In Level 6, students will acquire comprehensive knowledge encompassing Global Health and Sustainability, Health Analytics and Planning, Total Quality Management in Health & Care, Project Management, and the culmination of their studies in the form of a Final Project.
This level aims to provide a well-rounded understanding of key concepts in these areas, equipping students with the skills and insights necessary for effective engagement in the field of health and care management.
