Typically, applicants are required to have at least a 2:2 UK first degree or an equivalent international qualification recognized by UK ENIC. Alternatively, candidates may substitute the first degree requirement with five years of work experience at a senior managerial level.
Proficiency in the English language is essential, with an average IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent in any other approved test. No individual score should be below 5.5 in any test component.
In addition, candidates are generally expected to have a minimum of two years of work experience at a managerial or supervisory level.
DBA/ PhD
Part I – Compulsory Modules:
The MBA Marketing program will provide students with a solid foundation in general business management knowledge, coupled with specialized marketing skills, enabling them to excel in their chosen field.
Financial Management:
- Research, apply, and evaluate various financial assessment techniques in a case study.
- Research, evaluate, and critically discuss issues and theoretical frameworks in the management and control of financial resources.
Human Resource Management:
- Critically review and appraise current research and advanced scholarship to evaluate managerial and business environments.
- Demonstrate a systematic understanding of current HRM and IHRM issues within various organizations, enabling effective management of policy design and implementation to achieve strategic aims.
Marketing Management:
- Critically appraise key marketing activities and the contribution of the marketing department to the organization.
- Anticipate and critically evaluate future developments in the field of marketing, particularly through technology.
Strategic Management:
- Synthesize the relationship between the external context of an organization and its internal context, understanding their impact on strategies.
- Critically evaluate competitive and development strategies in the context of contemporary strategic management issues.
- Assess factors crucial for strategy implementation.
Specialist Modules
International Marketing:
- Critically compare and contrast the impact of cultural differences and similarities between nations in a marketing context.
- Identify and critically reflect on the contemporary ethical and practical frameworks of marketing within a global context.
Digital Marketing:
- Appraise the digital impact on each element of the marketing mix and the range of e-marketing tools available through digital marketing techniques.
- Critically evaluate contemporary digital and e-issues affecting customers, intermediaries, and marketers.
